Situated within City Square Mall on the 5th floor, this cafe is a great hangout place for couples, friends and family. It’s conveniently located between the cinema and the arcade centre: excellent for taking a break from your shopping, waiting for your movie to start or just chilling after a sumptuous meal at one of the many food places in the area.
Miyakori’s signature mascot, a simple but cute bear face which appears on all their products. Notice the Japanese words? Miyakori’s products are Japanese inspired.
Matcha Layered Cake with Azuki. The matcha layers were spongy and the azuki layers were soft and sweet but not too heavy on the tongue. We’ve tasted lighter matcha cakes, if you’re looking for a more flavorful taste, this one is perfect for you.
We had an ice latte and a cup of earl grey tea to go along with the dessert.
Miyakori Coffee’s orginal outlet is in Bukit Indah and the Johor Bahru Outlet is their 2nd. They are constantly looking to expand and so it wouldn’t be a surprise if we see one here in Singapore soon.
The overall experience was great but not fantastic. Plus points go to the very relaxed environment. The cafe is situated in a brightly lit place and a clean, white look, making it suitable for a quick stop. The cafe is almost never crowded as well, good for those who hate rowdy crowds. On the other hand, the variety of the menu could be improved.
